Link vs. Pit: A Ticklish Special Smash! (TK) (Original)

Endurance Competition (Shantae Art Contest Prize)

In honor of this week's final reveal for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate - and holy shit, what an awesome reveal it was! - it was only fair to post a Smash fic here. To start with, THIS STORY IS NOT OF MY CREATION. It is a repost, with permission and credit, of a fanfic written under my supervision for the week of my birthday this past June! Indigo-Bunny is a talented and prolific tickle fanfic writer, and I'd highly recommend checking out their work if you love /M tickling stories, but they're willing to write literature with any gender of ticklee. Out of respect for their writing, I've decided to repost the story as it is without making any changes whatsoever - I did intend at first to make a few grammar and proofreading checks, but I think it would be better in the long run to leave the writing untouched, and I'm sure you readers would get the gist of it anyhow. XD

This fic is also accompanied by an illustration I got as a prize for winning an art contest recently. PodFrog has drawn art for me that I've featured in stories I've shared on this site before, and it was a pleasure to lend my aid in his completion of this lovely artwork. Go check out his gallery - there's a lot of great tickle- and feet-related pics in there!

Special thanks to Indigo and Pod for bringing this idea of mine to life, and special thanks to all the video-game companies that pitched in to give the world one of the greatest games in the 21st century if not the history of videogames altogether! I eagerly look forward to what the future holds for Nintendo and all of its IPs, and I cannot wait to see how the Smash community and its competitive scene will be re-shaped when a certain someone makes their debut in less than two weeks. Who knows, I might even write or commission another story to commemorate the occasion by then...

This FF/MM tickling story was requested by Shadow-Aspect and is also a birthday gift, so credit for the idea and details go to him. It is a Super Smash Bros Ultimate story, so there will be mentions of many of the characters in the game, though it is centered around Link from Legend of Zelda and Pit from Kid Icarus being tickled by Palutena and Princess Zelda, respectively.
Happy birthday, Shadow-Aspect, and I hope you enjoy the story ^^

Link vs. Pit: A Ticklish Special Smash!

Two heroes stood at opposite ends of the battle stage, ready to face off against one another. The competitor to the left of the field was an attractive young man with elvish ears and features, his blond hair tied into a ponytail. He wore a light blue tunic over a long-sleeved gray shirt, his arms protected with gauntlets, as well as tan pants and brown boots. His blue eyes were fixated on his opponent, a sword clutched in his right hand while he held a shield in his left.

The fighter to the right of the stage appeared slightly younger, his large blue eyes and fluffy brown hair giving him an innocent, boyish look. He wore a white chiton that was decorated with red and gold hems along the bottom, which was fastened on his right shoulder by a golden fibula with a red gem. In addition to the blue shorts he wore underneath, his attire also consisted of brown sandals, and he wore bronze and gold cuffs around his forearms. Although incapable of flight, a pair of white wings protruded from the angel's back, and he brandished a blue and gold bow. A gold laurel crown completed his look, his excitement apparent.

LINK! VS! PIT!

The next match of the Super Smash Brothers Ultimate Tournament was about to begin, the loud voice announcing the two young fighters.

Pit smirked at his opponent, eager to begin. "Ready to lose?" he asked in a playful tone.

"That's my line," Link calmly retorted, getting into a stance as he awaited for the countdown to begin.

THREE! TWO! ONE! GO!

Link and Pit charged towards one another, weapons drawn as they each began their assault. The blond swung his sword at his rival, only for the blow to blocked by Pit's bow as he utilized it as a shield.

"That all you got?" Pit chuckled, effectively blocking Link's attack before dashing towards the side so that he could fire off a few shots from his bow.

The blond held up his shield, stopping the arrows as they crashed against the hard surface. "I'm just getting started. Wouldn't want to go all out on a child right from the get-go."

"Child!? Who the heck are you calling a kid!" Pit dodged another swing of Link's sword, narrowly missing the blade.

Link followed his movements, evading the arrows that were shot towards him a second time. "You have the same maturity of a child, if nothing else."

"What!?"

As the two of them continued to trade blows and insults, riling each other up further, there other competitors of the tournament watched the spectacle from the sidelines. The moves and attacks that were displayed were rather impressive, with Link and Pit's abilities on equal ground. It would've been more enjoyable to watch if it wasn't for the constant bickering, the pair squabbling as if they were an old married couple.

"Shouldn't you be traveling somewhere with your merry men?" Pit taunted as he attempted to use his bow as a melee weapon to catch his opponent off guard.

Link stopped it with his blade, a smirk appearing on his face. "Big words coming from an angel that can't fly. Are those wings just to help make you look the part?"

"What!? Oh, now you're gonna get it!"

"Good, I'm tired of holding back."

While the battle raged on between the two heroes, the other competitors watched with mostly amusement. Some, however, weren't too pleased by what they were seeing. Two of them in particular weren't thrilled to see how Link and Pit bickered with one another, which they felt was distracting from the actual match. It had been like this during every single match between the young men, and it was clear that this round would be no different.

A beautiful goddess with long green hair watched the fight with a bit of disappointment, wishing that Pit and Link would stop hurling insults towards one another. Her long, layered white dress gave her a regal and elegant appearance, with several gold accessories adorning her body in the form a necklace, laurel crown, fibula, arm bands, arm brace, and armored sleeve, and ornaments secured by belts. "They're going at it again..."

A gorgeous princess sat next to her, her long blond hair cascading freely down her back. Her delicate, elvish ears and features gave her an ethereal appearance, a golden tiara adorned on her forehead. She wore a pink tunic over a long white dress with a cape, as well as brown high-heeled boots and gold gauntlets. "Are we really surprised, though?"

Palutena sighed. "No, but it's getting out of hand. I'm concerned that things will only continue to escalate if there is no intervention."

"It certainly seems as though that's the direction it's going in," Zelda murmured in response.
They could hear each and every insult, and even Link, whom was normally more composed than his rival, reminded them of a child. Both boys were obviously egging each other on, intentionally annoying one another.

"Those two have been rivals since day one, haven't they?" a feminine voice spoke up.

Zelda and Palutena turned to see Samus, wearing her skintight blue suit rather than her Metroid armor. Like the rest of the fighters, she had come along to watch the battle between Pit and Link, though she'd expected more fighting and less squabbling.

The Legend of Zelda and Kid Icarus had been released on the same year, and they'd been rivals since then. Coincidentally, Metroid had come out the same year as well, though Samus had never butted heads with either of them.

"Other fighters have brought it to our attention as well," Palutena sighed. "They keep asking us if something bad happened between those two because of their behavior towards one another."

"It's embarrassing to see them act like that," Zelda agreed. "I really wish that they would conduct themselves in a more dignified manner..."

"They're not like that with other people," Samus remarked. "Only with each other. It seems like you two have been needing to intervene quite a bit."

"We have been," the green-haired goddess replied. "We knew that they had a rivalry, but it seems like they genuinely dislike each other. Maybe it would be best to keep them separated as much as possible."

Zelda shook her head. "We've tried that, but they're both so stubborn that there's no stopping them. Link usually doesn't engage in childish banter, but it's a completely different story when he's with Pit."

"All I know is that if this continues, other fighters will view them in a bit of a negative light. Not to say that either of them are bad people, but...Link and Pit are just too petty and immature with one another," the blonde bounty hunter pointed out. "Something certainly needs to be done about their behavior."

Even as the fight continued, they could hear whispers and snickers coming from many of the other fighters. Zelda and Palutena couldn't help but feel a bit of secondhand embarrassment, especially as they saw what happened next.

"I'm gonna prove once and for all that I'm better than you!" Pit shouted with a cocky grin.

Link gave a smirk. "You're better than me, huh? Did you know that Breath of the Wild has already sold over 22 million copies since its release? How many copies have your games sold?"

Hearing this, the angel became incredibly flustered, unable to deny that he hadn't reached the same number as his rival. "O-okay, fine! But that doesn't mean that you're better than me, and I'll show you why right now!"

"Oh, please do," the blond insisted in a mocking tone.

"Come at me!" Pit exclaimed, readying his bow again.

"Fine, I'll take the initiative if you're gonna be a coward!" Link dashed towards him, shield held out.

"I am not!" the brunet shot back, losing his cool as he also lunged forward.

Before they even realized what had happened, they crashed into one another, somehow toppling off the edge of the stage in the process.

NO CONTEST!

Just like that, the match had come to an anti-climatic end, leaving neither Link nor Pit the victor. Of course, they'd been retrieved and returned to the stage, where their squabbling ensued.

"You idiot," Link huffed. "It's your fault that we fell."

"My fault?! You're the reason why we went over!" Pit retorted.

Zelda sighed and shook her head. "Those morons... They can't even finish a match properly. This really is getting out of hand."

"I know, and it's definitely going to cause issues with the other fighters as well," Palutena murmured. "What happens if they're teamed up? Will they collaborate with each other? Or if there's a team battle where they are on opposite ends, will they cooperate with whomever they're partnered with?"

"I honestly don't know," the princess admitted. "But we need to figure something out before it escalates even further."

"Good luck with that," Samus told them. "Seems that they'll need all the help that they can get."

With the match coming to a close, Zelda and Palutena bid Samus farewell before they, too, parted ways. While the princess was on her way to scold Link, the goddess planned to lecture Pit on his behavior as well.

As Zelda headed off to meet Link, she wondered what it was about Pit that set him off so much. She herself had had a match against Pit just the other day and hadn't had an issue with the angel. Although he was a bit cocky and overly-cheerful, he certainly didn't seem like a bad person. Perhaps a little odd, as she remembered his strange reaction when she had fought him. At one point, she had tried to grab him, attempting to grab the boy under his arms. To her surprise, he had jolted with a yell before ripping free from her grasp, and she'd wondered if she had somehow injured him. While his health hadn't decreased, his reaction had left her rather confused.

Likewise, Palutena had had a similar experience when she'd faced off against Link. She had grazed his ribs at one point, as he had dodged the attack that she'd unleashed. Yet she noticed the startled look on his face and the way he'd jolted before quickly retreating from her. She had wondered what had caused him to react in such a way, and when she had questioned him about it after the match, he'd simply brushed her inquiry aside and excused himself.

Later that day, Link and Pit ran into one another as they wandered through Smash Mansion, Pit looking dejected while Link appeared stoic.

"Hey, did you get any complaints from some of the other fighters?" Pit inquired with an embarrassed, sheepish smile.

Link was quiet for a moment, then looked away. "Maybe I did. Why? Did you?"

"Maybe..." Pit murmured, trailing off. "Captain Falcon told me that I was acting immature and that it was embarrassing to watch..."

"Marth said that I was being unnecessarily rude," Link muttered. "He also complained about me breaking some pots..."

The angel quirked an eyebrow. "Can you really blame him for that? But Daisy said that we argued like an old married couple."

"Bayonetta said the same thing. And Lucina asked if we couldn't go ten minutes without bickering."

Pit rubbed his eyes and sighed. "I think Pikachu wanted to shock me, but I'm not sure..."

"I guess we're getting on everyone's nerves," Link grumbled.

"It's not like we're trying to!"

"Still...we need to settle the score once and for all," the blond replied. "Though it's painfully obvious that I'm the one that's going to win."

"No, you're not!" the angel countered. "You really don't give me enough credit!"

"Credit for what? If you compare our stats and everything, I score higher overall, so I have the advantage," Link told him, as if it was the most simple thing in the world. "What part of that are you not understanding?"

Pit frowned at him, becoming increasingly annoyed. "Stop acting like you're better than me!"

As they two of them bickered, they saw Zelda and Palutena quietly conversing with one another at the end of one of the halls. Curious as to what they were talking about, Pit and Link stopped arguing for a moment and approached the young women.

"Lady Palutena, what are you and Princess Zelda talking about?" Pit asked bluntly.

"Oh, we were just talking about your fight earlier," Palutena kindly replied. "The match ended in a draw, but clearly neither of you are satisfied with that outcome. However, Zelda and I have devised a tie-breaker, if you're interested." They had met up again a little while ago, trying to figure out of way to sort out the way Link and Pit interacted with one another, the two of them eventually coming up with a plan.

Pit's face brightened, eager to prove to his rival that he was the best. "Yeah, definitely!"

Link seemed to be a bit more suspicious. "What did you have in mind?"

"Come with us, and you'll find out," Zelda told them.

As she and Palutena led them through the Smash Mansion, Pit and Link continued to squabble. While the girls were annoyed by the constant bickering, they managed to hide those feelings behind pleasant smiles. Not only that, but it only made them more excited for the plan that they had schemed.

Link and Pit were led into a large room, noticing two chairs and two sets of stocks directly in the center. There was also a table with a Party Ball on top, but other than that, the room was essentially bare of all other furniture.

"Here, have a seat," Zelda insisted, tugging Link over towards the chairs and gently pushing him down onto one of them.

"Hey, what's going on?" Link asked, puzzled as Palutena motioned for Pit to sit down on the second chair. "Why did you bring us in here?"

Pit sat down as well. "Mm, this chair is nice and comfy," he grinned, settling against the plushy cushions.

"We're going to decide on a winner," Zelda told them. "So please cooperate."

"Now then, please hold your arms up over your heads and close your eyes," Palutena added.

The blond boy hesitated. "Okay..." He begrudgingly did as he was told, wondering what was going to happen.

Pit followed their instructions as well, albeit with less reluctance. Like Link, he had no idea where this was going, but he decided to go along with it anyway.

As if on cue, two sets of cuffs and shackles descended from the ceiling, stopping just above their heads. Working quickly, Zelda hurriedly locked Link's wrists into one set, while Palutena secured Pit's.

This prompted both guys to open their eyes in surprise, but by then, Zelda and Palutena were already in the process of lifting up their legs and placing their ankles into the stocks.

"Wait a minute! What are you two doing!?" Link tried to pull his legs back, but he'd been too slow to respond and Zelda had already managed to lock him in place. "Hey! What gives!?"

Pit was just as confused. "Wait, what's going on?"

Palutena had succeeded in restraining him as well, leaving both him and Link completely helpless. "As we said before, this will help us determine a winner."

"Huh?" Link and Pit each had a clueless expression.

Zelda crossed her arms in front of her chest. "You two have been ridiculous lately, and your rivalry has been causing a lot of distraction, especially during these matches. It's completely unacceptable, yet no matter what we say to you, nothing changes."

"Which is why we came up with an idea for you two to finally settle your score," Palutena informed them, swapping places with Zelda so that she now stood right in front of Link's feet.

Pit looked rather intrigued, still having no idea what was really going on. "Okay, what is it?"

Rather than answer his question immediately, Zelda began to undo his sandals, pulling them off of his feet a moment later. "There we go, much better."

"Huh? Princess Zelda, why did you take my sandals off?" he asked.

Meanwhile, Palutena had tugged off Link's boots, despite his protests, followed by his socks. She then adjusted the stocks ever-so-slightly to ensure that it fit more snugly around his ankles.

"What's going on?" Link asked, trying to remain calm. "Why did you take our shoes off?"

"Right, I suppose it's time to tell you what's actually going on," Palutena remarked with a smile. "Zelda and I are having you two participate in a competition to decide who the winner is."

Zelda giggled at their puzzled expressions. "The contest is to see which one of you can endure being tickled for a longer amount of time. So it's an endurance test, essentially."

There was a moment of silence as they registered her words, only for their eyes to go wide with shock.

"You're not serious, are you?" Link asked with disbelief.

"Oh, but we are," Palutena replied.

"But why? Why tickling?" Pit questioned, tugging at his restraints a bit.

Zelda smiled, watching as both him and Link tried to pull themselves free. "Well, it seems that the two of you are both a bit on the sensitive side. So, we wanted to see how well you can handle something like that."

"Also, this will serve as a lesson for the two of you to start behaving yourselves more," Palutena added. "I'm sorry, but your constant squabbling has been rather inconvenient. Not only that, you both completely ignored Zelda and me during our last team battle. You spent the entire time bickering and didn't even act as though we were part of the match." She turned to look directly at Pit. "I'm very disappointed in you."

"S-sorry, Lady Palutena!" Pit stammered.

She kept her gaze locked on him, noticing the way he fidgeted uncomfortably. "You realize how unacceptable it is, don't you?"

He nodded vehemently. "Yes! I realize that it's not a good look for me to have such unsightly behavior. I apologize!"

"You really need to take things down a notch, as your interactions are on bordering problematic," she added in a slightly stern tone. "As my loyal servant, I can't have you engaging in such behavior. As I said, it was demeaning for you and Link to ignore Princess Zelda and myself."

"Well, you and Zelda could've just fought each other," Link pointed out.

"But then what's the point of participating in a team battle, if that's the case?" Zelda retorted.

Neither Link, nor Pit could answer her, their eyes averted from the girls' expectant gazes.

"You do have a point," Pit finally admitted with a sheepish smile. "We shouldn't have ignored you like that. But...is this really the way you want to settle things?"

"Why, are you afraid that Link will win?" Palutena inquired.

"Huh!? No way!" he retorted. "He couldn't beat me if he tried!"

Now it was Link's turn to look offended. "Oh, really? I'll bet that I could easily outlast you."

"Is that what you think!? Well, bring it on!" Pit huffed, not believing for a minute that Link could best him.

"Then it's settled," Zelda remarked enthusiastically.

"Oh, just one more thing," Palutena mused, exchanging a glance with Zelda.

Pit and Link soon found their toes individually tied back, leaving them even more vulnerable than before. Zelda and Palutena admired their work, as well as the sight of the trapped, bare feet before them.

Link's feet were around a size 11, his pale, flawless skin practically begging to be touched. His soles were soft, with a hint of blush that made his feet look even more enticing. Likewise, Pit's were a bit larger, around a size 13. His skin was slightly more tanned, but looked just as silky and supple. Just looking at their gorgeous feet made the girls that much more excited to begin.

"Okay, let's begin, shall we?" Zelda said.

"Yes," Palutena agreed. "Do you mind if I focus on Link?"

The princess smiled. "Be my guest."

Pit chuckled a bit. "I'm kinda surprised you picked him, but then again, it makes sense that you wouldn't want to torment me, Lady Palutena."

"Oh, I chose him because I find him more attractive," she replied in that same sweet tone.

"What!?" He gaped at her with shock.

Link snickered. "Can't handle the fact that I'm better looking than you?"

"No, you're not!" Pit retorted with a huff.

"Oh, my. I didn't mean to start another squabble between you two," the goddess giggled.

"Before it escalates any further, let's get started," Zelda said, then turned to address the guys. "Whoever can endure being tickled for the longest amount of time will be deemed the winner."

"We'll call it the 'Super Brash Sisters Endurance Competition'," Palutena added.

Pit gave her an odd look. "Umm, it's 'Super Smash Brothers'..."

"Hm? No, I'm pretty sure I'm correct," she replied. "Anyway, in order to end the tournament, you must say the words 'I give up' for the tickling to stop. But by doing so means that your forfeit."

"Uhh, okay," Link mumbled, a bit anxious as the girls readied themselves.

"Sure," Pit murmured, just as nervous as his rival.

THREE! TWO! ONE! GO!

"W-wait! I never learned how to reeeaad!" Pit didn't get the chance to brace himself or even finish his sentence before Zelda began to scribble her fingers all over his taut soles. "Hahahahahahaha!" In his state of panic, he'd wrongfully expected that they were trying to interrogate them for information of some sort. He didn't even know why, since they'd explicitly told the reasoning behind the tickling.

"What the heck does that have to do with anything?" Link had the smuggest look on his face, ready to taunt Pit, only for Palutena to skitter her fingers over his immobilized feet. "H-hey! Nohohahahahahaha! W-wait a minute! Hahahahahahaha!"

"Try to outlast each other," Zelda reminded them, speaking a bit louder so they could hear her. She then glanced at Palutena with a bit of a smirk. "I wonder which of them is more ticklish," she said, her fingers dancing all over Pit's feet.

"Only one way to find out," Palutena replied as she scribbled all over Link's soles.

Both Pit and Link pulled at their restraints, laughing as the bottoms of their feet were mercilessly tickled. With their toes tied back, there was no way for them to scrunch up their soles in defense. The princess and goddess tested out their heels, getting about the same reaction from the guys.

However, once Palutena reached Link's arches, he jolted with a yell. "AAHHH! NOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAH! W-WAIT! NOT THERE" he protested, feeling her fingertips skittering along the slopes. "AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

"Ohhh, it appears as though I've found a weak spot," Palutena smiled, tickling the soft, smooth skin.

"Looks like it," Zelda agreed, testing out Pit's arches as well.

Pit's laughter hadn't escalated quite like Link's had, though his arches were much more sensitive than his heels. He jerked around, trying to pull his legs back in response to the tickling.

Link continued to thrash around in his seat, his eyes squeezing as he was forced to laugh. Try as he may, there was no way to protect his vulnerable soles, suffering through the tickling that Palutena inflicted upon him.

"Hm, maybe you're the more ticklish one," Palutena teased, taking full advantage of his taut soles even as he protested.

"It's a little too soon to tell, but we should definitely keep it up," Zelda beamed, now making her way up to the balls of Pit's feet.

The boy jolted, his eyes wide. "Ahhh! Don't! N-nohohot there! Ahahahahahahahahaha!" The balls of his feet were even worse than his arches, and he struggled to endure the torturous treatment.

Palutena decided to test out the balls of Link's feet as well, wondering if it would prove to be another weak spot.

"S-stop!" Link's laughter had tapered off slightly, not nearly as ticklish there. "Hahahahahahahaha!"

All in all, both Pit and Link had a difficult time enduring the attention to those areas, their faces rather flushed. Tears had started to slowly cascade down their cheeks, the two of them yanking and pulling at their bonds.

"By the way, these stocks and restraints were made specially by us," Palutena informed them. "So it'll be impossible for you to escape from unless the two of us let you go."

"W-what!?" Pit stammered, trying and failing to tug his legs back.

"Well, there would be no point of restraining you if you're both able to break free," Zelda added.

Link bit his lip, trying to keep his laughter under control as this kept up. His body shook with suppressed mirth, fighting the urge to burst out all over again.

It was then that Zelda and Palutena decided to venture further up, now targeting the guys' immobilized toes. They lightly scribbled at the bases and stems of the digits, eager to see what kind of reactions it would yield.

"Aahh!" Link immediately broke down into a new fit of frantic laughter, jerking around on the seat. "NOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Pit fared no better than his rival, thrashing around on his chair as the tender undersides of his toes were exploited. "AHAHAHAHAHAHA! PLEASE! PRINCESS ZELDA! AHHHH!"

Palutena smiled. "Hm, it looks like we found more weak spots," she said to Zelda, then turned her attention back to the boys. "Try to hang in there. I'm sure that neither of you want to lose, right?"

As much as the tickling was driving both Link and Pit mad, neither of them wanted to be bested by the other. With that in mind, it didn't help that both were unbearably sensitive and not used to being tickled at all.

Zelda and Palutena wreaked havoc on every last spot that their toes had to offer, targeting the bases, stems and pads without respite. They switched back and forth between light, teasing tickles, and rougher, more aggressive tickling with their nails. Of course, they made sure not to press too hard, since they didn't want to cause the boys any discomfort.

"NO MORE! PLEASE!" Link exclaimed frantically.

"MMMPH!" Pit tried to contain his laughter, his body quaking as he struggled to stay in control.

At that point, however, Zelda's curiosity had gotten the better of her, and she began to target his pinky toes, which had been rather ignored in comparison to the other digits.

"AAHHHNONONOHOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Pit's laughter spiked further, reaching heights it had not yet before.

"Ooh, now that's interesting," Zelda giggled. "It seems as though you're very ticklish on those spots." She lightly scribbled a nail along each of his pinky toes, focusing only on those digits at the moment.

Pit was completely losing it at this point, shocked at how insanely sensitive he was on those particular toes. "N-NOT THAT!"

Palutena was rather amused to see Pit in such a state of hysterics, testing out each of Link's toes as well. While the blond boy was incredibly ticklish on his toes as well, none seemed to be noticeably more sensitive than the rest. With that, she decided to target his arches once more.

"NONONOHOHOHAHAHAHAHAHA! I-I CAN'T TAKE IT!" he exclaimed through his helpless laughter.

After another ten minutes or so, Zelda and Palutena decided that the guys had earned a short break. Tickling them non-stop seemed rather cruel, especially since neither Link nor Pit were used to being tormented in such a manner. Both of them had been left completely red-face, their cheeks wet with tears as they struggled to catch their breath.

"I'm glad that neither of you have given up," Palutena remarked with a smile. "If you want to be declared the winner, make sure you keep it up."

"Who do you think will win?" Zelda asked her. "Personally, I think that it'll be close."

"Well, we learned that their feet are extremely sensitive, but what about other spots? Their upper bodies might be ticklish," the goddess suggested. "Though, we should at least allow them to recover first."

It took Pit and Link several seconds to calm down a bit, though they were apprehensive about what was to come. While neither were willing to call it quits, they hoped for one another's failure.

"I'm gonna win this one way or another," Pit finally said with confidence in his voice.

Link flashed him a look of annoyance. "Not a chance. I'll be able to outlast you easily."

"You each seem to have your own weak spots," Zelda pointed out. "Both of you have very sensitive feet, so if you'd like us to continue focusing on those areas, we can."

"N-no, that's fine!" Pit remarked, chuckling sheepishly. "You can test out other spots instead!" He really needed a break from his feet being tickled, hoping that he would be able to handle the upper body tickling better.

"Fine by me," Link huffed, wishing that Pit would just give up and save him the hassle of going through this ridiculous competition. Of course, he knew better than to say so out loud, not wanting to face the girls' wrath.

Zelda decided to move behind Pit's chair, reaching around to scribble her fingers all over his sides.

"Ahhh! Hey!" He squirmed around a bit, trying to avoid the tickling. "Aahahahahahahahaha!"

"See? We don't need to only go after your feet," the princess teased.

At the same time, Palutena had started to skitter her fingers against Link's armpits, hoping for a strong reaction from him. Unfortunately, it yielded only soft chuckles from the blond boy, those particular spots not affecting him very much.

"Mmmpheheheheheh! Ah...ahahahahahaha..." Link fidgeted slightly, grateful that he wasn't overly sensitive there. It helped that his shirt provided a bit of protection, albeit not very much.

"Hm, that's a bit disappointing," the goddess murmured. "I suppose I'll try something else." This time, she targeted his stomach, her fingers wiggling over his abs.

His laughter increased a bit, the thin material of his shirt not doing anything to lessen the sensations. His began to writhe around, trying to avoid her fingers as she teased all over his abs.

Zelda tickled up and down Pit's sides, spidering over his flanks even as he squirmed around with protests. It wasn't until she reached his armpits that he completely lost it.

"AAAHH! NOOOO! N-NOT THERE! HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Pit desperately tried to yank his arms down, thrashing around in response to the tickling.

"Ooh, looks like I found another sweet spot," she smiled, lightly digging into the hollows. "Tickle tickle tickle!"

He jerked around frantically, his eyes tightly squeezed shut as he attempted to block out the maddening sensations. "WAIT A MINUTE! AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Link glanced over at Pit, feeling rather smug about his rival's suffering. While his stomach was rather ticklish as well, at least he was handling his torture much better in comparison. That was until Palutena's fingers began to skitter along his ribs. "AHHHH!" He yelled with a jolt, his eyes wide with surprise. "W-WAIT! DON'T!" He tried to twist and turn his body to avoid her touches, but to no avail.

Zelda spent a little while longer on Pit's underarms, then decided to test out his stomach next. After all, she wanted to locate each and every weak spot that she could.

"AAAHHHH! PLEASE NO!" the angel exclaimed frantically as her fingers scribbled over his abs. The thin material of his clothing provided very little protection for him, and he tried to twist and turn away from her touches.

"Ooh, your stomach seems to be almost as sensitive as your armpits, if not more so," she giggled.

Now that they had discovered the weakest spots on the boys' upper body, Zelda and Palutena continued to wreak havoc on those areas. Their fingers scribbled all over, constantly changing things up to keep the two of them guessing what would happen next. The girls switched between lighter, more gentle tickling, to faster, more aggressive methods.

"M-MAKE IT STOP!" Pit pleaded, trying his hardest to pull his arms down to protect himself as his armpits were targeted once more.

Link wasn't handling his torment any better, his ribs sensitive to every last touch that Palutena administered. "AHHHH! C'MON, ENOUGH!"

"Hm, it sounds to me as though you both want to give up," Zelda said with a sigh. "Is that what you want?"

"NO!" both guys shouted simultaneously. As much as the tickling was driving them crazy, neither were willing to call it quits. One way or another, they were determined to be the victor of this whole competition, ridiculous or not.

This continued for another ten minutes or so, the girls sending them into a complete frenzy. At one point, Palutena tested out Link's armpits, while Zelda tried out Pit's stomach. While they were ticklish on those areas as well, it didn't top the spots that they had targeted previously. With that in mind, Palutena spent most of her time focusing on Link's ribs and Zelda concentrated on Pit's armpits.

Finally, the guys were given another break, allowing them to calm down and catch their breath. Their faces were brightly flushed and stained with tears, their chests heaving as they tried to replenish their oxygen.

"Both of you are doing extremely well," Zelda commended them. "I can tell that the two of you are trying your hardest to win."

After a moment, Link gave a small smirk once he'd recovered. "Obviously. Do you think I'm gonna let him beat me?"

"Right back at ya!" Pit replied. "I'm not gonna lose!"

"We'll see about that," he retorted.

Palutena clapped her hands together with enthusiasm. "That's the spirit! Both of you should definitely keep trying your best, since it's clear that neither of you wants to lose."

"I just hope you guys are ready for what we have planned next," Zelda remarked, walking over towards the Party Ball.

"Oh, I'd almost forgotten about that," the goddess murmured, joining her.

"What's inside?" Pit questioned tentatively.

Link couldn't help but share a bit of his rival's apprehension. "Yeah, I'm not so sure about the contents of that thing..."

The princess smiled. "Don't worry, Palutena and I put this together ourselves. There was a crate that we had originally received, but it didn't really contain anything that would be helpful towards tickling. I don't know about you, but a hammer, a fire flower, a light sword, and a bomb don't seem like viable choices."

"There was a shell in there, too," Palutena mused. "And I think a tomato...aww, now I'm starting to get hungry..."

Zelda beamed. "Want to help me break this open?"

"Yes!" Palutena replied eagerly.

Link and Pit watched as the girls busted open the Party Ball, displaying its contents. Among the items were a fan, a Star Rod, a Super Leaf, and a Lip's Stick flower. Upon seeing those, the boys couldn't help but glance at each other nervously. Zelda and Palutena whispered something to one another, too quiet for the guys to hear them. Things were about to get even more intense, and both Pit and Link knew it. However, they were a bit confused when the girls approached them once more without any of the items that they had just unveiled.

"We've decided to start you off by using feathers," Palutena informed them.

"Any complaints? Otherwise, we can simply use what was inside of the Party Ball," Zelda added.

Link gave them an odd look. "No, but...there weren't any feathers in that Party Ball..."

"I know," she replied, reaching over and gently plucking four feathers from Pit's wings.

"H-hey!" Pit hadn't been expecting her to grab a few feathers so nonchalantly, though he knew that losing four wouldn't make any difference to him. "You could've at least asked first..."

"What was that?" Palutena said.

"N-nothing, Lady Palutena!" he quickly backtracked. "It's fine! I have plenty!"

Although Link and Pit could've protested and begged the girls not to use the feathers, neither of them were willing to speak up. It wasn't like it mattered in the end, for Zelda and Palutena wasted no time sweeping the feathers up and down the large, taut feet.

"AHHHH! WAIT!" Link burst into laughter as Palutena immediately focused on his arches, the stiff feathers making circles all over those areas. "AHAHAAHAHAH!" he spluttered, the sensations already driving him crazy.

"H-HEY! PLEASE DON'T!" Pit exclaimed as Zelda focused on the balls of his feet. He was surprised that it tickled much more with the feathers than when the princess had simply been using her fingers. "AHHHHH! HAHAAHAHAHAHA!"

"Isn't it adorable how much his own feathers tickle him?" Zelda said with a giggle.

"It is," Palutena agreed. "Link can't seem to handle them either."

Link tried to cast a glare at Pit's direction, putting him at fault for their current situation. Had he not been laughing so hard, he would've told the angel off.

"Just try to hang in there," Zelda told them in a sweet voice. "Both of you want to win, right?"

"YES!" the guys shouted simultaneously, trying their hardest to endure the tickling. The feathers stroked away at the bottoms of their feet, the targets constantly changed up. Their heels, arches, insteps, the balls of their feet and their toes all felt the wrath of the stiff barbs. Not a single spot was spared from the ticklish tools, and even the crevices between their toes were subjected to the torment.

"AAHHHH!" Pit jolted as Zelda focused on his pinky toes again, the digits still held taut by the toe restraints. Tears ran down his red face as the tips of the feathers wreaked havoc on the tender undersides, driving the brunet utterly insane. He never would've imagined that he'd be so weak against his own feathers, though he knew that Link wasn't handling it any better.

"MMMMPHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEH!" Link struggled to keep his laughter at bay, biting his lip as he body trembled with mirth. Like Pit, his flushed face was also streaked with tears, and his resistance all but went out the window when Palutena concentrated on his arches once more.

Even as Link and Pit continued to laugh, Palutena and Zelda kept it up. However, they'd noticed that the boys had stopped begging them to cease their assault. On top of that, they weren't struggling to break free as much as they had been before. This piqued their curiosity a bit, making them wonder if the boys had been secretly enjoying themselves this entire time. Sure, there was a possibility that they were starting to get worn out, but Zelda and Palutena knew that the guys' stamina was higher than that.

"What? No begging?" Zelda teased as she feathered all over Pit's pinky toes.

"It seems that they've finally gotten serious," Palutena smiled, focusing on Link's arches.

Pit had one eye squeezed shut and the other peaked open to cast a glance at Link's direction. "I-I'M GONNA WIN!" he proclaimed through his frantic laughter. He jolted when Zelda used one feather to stroke over the ball of his right foot while the other twirled around the arch on his left foot.

"N-NOHOHOHO, I AM!" Link retorted, jerking as Palutena began to saw the feathers under and in between his toes.

The seconds ticked by, yet no matter how much they were tickled, neither would throw in the towel. Admittedly, although it was a lot for them to handle, they were both dead-set on winning. On top of that, just as the girls had suspected, they were actually starting to enjoy themselves quite a bit. Maybe it was the aspect of beating one another that appealed to them, though the sensation of the feathers sweeping all over every last inch of their feet had made them feel rather excited. Neither were used to having so much attention on their feet, and although they weren't used to these feelings, they didn't dislike it.

Finally, Zelda and Palutena stopped tickling them, allowing them an opportunity to recover. They exchanged knowing smiles, but neither said anything right away as Pit and Link tried to calm down and catch their breath. The competition would likely drag on for quite awhile, so there was no need to rush things.

"Jeez...that was intense," Pit finally mumbled, once he'd composed himself.

"No kidding," Link muttered in agreement.

"So...we couldn't help but notice something," Zelda remarked with amusement.

Palutena beamed. "Be honest; you two are enjoying yourselves, aren't you? There's no point in denying it."

Neither Link nor Pit offered an answer right away, the two of them blushing a bit as they avoided eye contact. However, after a few seconds, they each gave a nod, accompanied by a sheepish smile.

"I suppose it's not all that bad," Link finally admitted.

"It's actually kind of fun," Pit added.

"We think so, too," the princess giggled. "Though I do wonder how well you'll fare on this next part... After all, we still have a few items that we have yet to try out on the two of you."

Palutena had wandered over to the table, where they had broken open the Party Ball. "Hmm, which item would you like to use, Zelda?"

"That fan might be fun to use," she replied, joining her. "Do you mind if I test it out?"

"Not at all. I'd like to try this one out," the goddess remarked, grabbing hold of the Lip's Stick flower. "These petals are nice and soft." She lightly felt the edges of the petals, knowing that the pollen spores would aid in the tickling as well.

Pit grinned with confidence. "Whatever you use, I'll still deal with it better than he can!"

"Not a chance," Link retorted just as smugly. "You're way more ticklish than I am."

"Am not," he countered.

"Well, we'll just have to see for ourselves which of you can endure it more efficiently," Palutena said. "We'll switch items eventually, since you both should be able to experience any and all possibilities."

The guys barely had a chance to brace themselves as the girls stood before their trapped feet once more. While Zelda began to lightly sweep the large fan up and down Pit's soles, Palutena used the petals of the flower to gently stroke up and down the bottoms of Link's feet.

"Aaah!" Pit was caught off guard at just how much a paper fan could actually tickle, quickly realizing that he shouldn't have underestimated it. The very tip of it barely made contact with his soft soles, but it was more than enough to stimulate the sensitive nerve endings all throughout his feet. " H-hold on! Mmmph!" He bit his lip, trying to keep his laughter at bay as Zelda ran it along the length of his soles.

Link cringed and grinned awkwardly as he felt the petals graze along his naked soles, his feet stretched taut and vulnerable to the flower. Like Pit, he had mistakenly assumed that the tickle tool wouldn't affect him nearly as much as he'd anticipated. He tried to move his feet back, but the stocks held him tight. He couldn't keep his laughter under control, soon bursting out with a fit of frantic chuckles.

"You two are so adorable," Palutena smiled, amused by their blushing faces. "If you really enjoy being tickled, we're willing to do this to you more often."

"If you keep bickering non-stop throughout every single match of the tournament, we might have to use this as a punishment tactic," Zelda added. "Though whether or not you'd actually consider it punishment is a different story."

"Aaaahaahahahahahahahha! Th-that tickles!" Pit writhed around on the chair, his eyes closing as he laughed. He could feel the fan stroking up and down his feet, from his heels, all the way up to his toes. With his soles stretched taut, there was no way for him to scrunch them up in defense to lessen the sensations.

Initially, Link had been able to keep laughter under control slightly better than Pit, but he noticed that with each swipe of the flower, a bit of the pollen spores landed on his soles. It seemed to make his soft skin even more sensitive than before, his laughter escalating as Palutena continued to let the petals kiss away at his soles. "W-WAIT! WHAT'S GOING ON!?" He attempted to curl his toes in defense, but they remained completely immobilized.

"Oh, didn't you know that those spores leave you more sensitive?" the goddess spoke up.

"N-NO!" he spluttered in response, blushing madly.

"Well, now you do," she replied with a light-hearted laugh.

Pit was glad that the fan didn't have the same kind of affect on him, though he knew that Zelda would eventually swap her item with Palutena's. Hopefully Link would give up before then, but even if he didn't, Pit wasn't going to give in to the ticklish sensations. "Pleasehahahaahahahaha!"

"Please what? Do you want some of that pollen on your feet as well?" Zelda inquired, her question answered with a frantic shake of the brunet's head. "I see. Unfortunately, you don't have much of a choice in the matter."

"Hahahahahahahahahaha!" He knew that he could handle the fan swiping up and down the bottoms of his feet, though he had an even more difficult time dealing with it when she began to focus on his toes.

Link was losing his mind as well, the soft petals teasing all over his arches and the balls of his feet. The pollen left his skin feeling slightly tingly, intensifying the tickling further. It wasn't long before his toes were tickled as well, the tender undersides left vulnerable to the tickling.

"It was a great idea incorporating these items," Zelda said to Palutena. "After all, it fits in with the theme of everything."

"I agree," Palutena replied. "Certainly fitting for the 'Super Brash Sisters Endurance Competition'."

Pit would've told her that she'd said it wrong, again, but was laughing too hard to form a coherent sentence. He could feel the fan stroking away at his toes, including the hyper-ticklish pinky toes. "AAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!" All he could do was sit there and take it, laughing his head off.

Link wasn't coping any better than his rival, the pollen and petals driving the blond boy insane. "D-DAMN IT! NOHOHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"
The girls took their time, utilizing the tools and relentlessly tormenting every last spot that they could. They enjoyed the way the guys' feet twitched helplessly as they were tickled, the fan and flower teasing those sensitive areas all over their soles.

After a good ten minutes or so, Link and Pit were given a brief moment of respite as Palutena and Zelda decided to swap items.

"Good, there seems to be plenty of spores left on this," Zelda remarked as she briefly inspected the large flower.

"It really does work great," Palutena assured her.

The guys were barely able to catch their breath before the assault started once more. They jolted in their seats as the items grazed against their taut soles, causing them both to break into a fit of chuckles.

"P-please wait!" Pit could feel the soft petals stroking at the bottoms of his feet, the golden pollen sprinkling over his bare skin just as Link had experienced.

Link's feet were already a bit more sensitive because of the spores, finding that even something as simple as a fan could be unexpectedly ticklish. "Mmmphehehehehehehe!" He tried to scrunch up his soles as the edge of the fan stroked up and down his trapped feet.

"Try to outlast one another," Zelda reminded them. "Right now, Link has a bit of a disadvantage, but those spores should giving the same effect to Pit."

Pit could tell that she was correct, the soles of his feet feeling increasingly sensitive with each swipe of the feather. His attempts of keeping his laughter under control was failing horribly, escalating so that it now matched Link's.

"The good thing about this is that you two are laughing too hard to be able to argue," Palutena pointed out with amusement.

"With that in mind, neither of you can last forever, so try not to break down. Prove to us which of you has the higher resistance and ability to endure even the most maddening of all tortures," Zelda said.

Link and Pit didn't need to be told as much, both of them becoming more and more determined to win. Their rivalry had hit its peak, neither of them ready to submit and accept defeat. This allowed them to keep going, to withstand the incessant tickling that was slowly but surely chipping away at their sanity.

Hot tears streamed down Link's face as the fan relentlessly swept up and down his taut soles, particularly his arches. He gritted his teeth, his eyes squeezed shut in an effort to endure the sensations.

By now, the pollen had taken full effect on Pit's feet, the soft petals lightly skimming over his bare skin. There was no way for him to clamp his toes down, suffering the full brunt of the flower.

Eventually, Palutena and Zelda decided to give them another much-needed break. They were eager to try out the other items that had been inside of the Party Ball, and there was no pollen left in the flower regardless. It took Pit and Link several seconds to calm down and catch their breath, still giggling a bit from the leftover sensations.

"Are you two okay?" Palutena inquired.

Link only gave a nod in response, though Pit managed to chuckle out a single word. "Y-yeah...hehehehe..."

"I must say, I think this is the longest that you guys have gone without bickering in quite some time," Zelda pointed out. "Then again, it's probably difficult when you're laughing so hard."

"Well, I'm gonna win either way," Link responded, his face still slightly flushed.

"No, I am!" Pit retorted with confidence.

The green-haired goddess smiled warmly. "You both have a good chance of winning, so instead of arguing, save your energy for enduring the next round."

"Go ahead! Feel free to go after our worst spots," Pit grinned. "I'll be able to handle it no matter what!"

"Not as well as me," Link replied arrogantly, then looked at Palutena. "You don't need to hold back at all."

"Now that's the spirit," she giggled, then looked at Zelda. "Let's try out something different."

"There are still those two items over there," the princess pointed out as they approached the table. "Take your pick."

Palutena thought for a moment. "Why don't you choose first this time?"

Zelda beamed. "Thank you. I think I'll go with...this." She picked up the Star Rod, briefly inspecting it. "I wonder how well this will work..."

"There's only one way to find out." Palutena took the Super Leaf, thinking about how best to utilize it.

"So, are you two ready?" Zelda inquired, stepping in front of them.

"Hey, since they're sitting so close together, why not see if it will reach both of them?" the goddess suggested. "I'll wait a moment before I begin, since I'm curious about the Star Rod's range."

"Okay, let's see..." Zelda gave it a single wave to test it out, seeing a burst of stars shoot from it.

The stars reached both Pit and Link, briefly showering their upper bodies. Although it had been quick, it had been enough to make both boys jolt in their seats, the unexpected blast traveling through the thin fabric of their shirts to send ticklish sensations throughout their bodies. They both let out a surprised laugh, but composed themselves almost immediately after.

"Oh, it looks like it works well on both of them," Palutena remarked. "Zelda, why don't you keep them busy for a few minutes? I have an idea, if you don't mind."

"Gladly," the princess cheerfully responded. "Hear that, boys? You're lucky enough to get the same treatment again, so you'd better prepare yourselves."

Pit and Link watched as she held up the Star Rod, the two of them trying to brace themselves for what was to come. The initial blast hadn't been too bad, so hopefully they would be able to endure it to a degree.

Just like that, Zelda waved the item in a quick rendition, hurling blast after blast of stars catapulting in the boys' direction. Their feet and upper bodies were showered within the rush of stars that shot out, overwhelming them with unbearably ticklish sensations.

"AAAAHHHH! W-WAIT!" Pit squirmed around on his chair, bursting with frantic laughter as he was tickled.

Link laughed just as hard as his rival, his feet and body at the mercy of the Star Rod. He never would've imagined an item like that could produce such an effect, as he'd been hit with a blast before and he couldn't remember it tickling so much. Was this one special? Or maybe he'd just never noticed his own sensitivity.

"The range of this is amazing," Zelda murmured with glee as she continued to wave the item around. "There's only so much magic in this thing, and once it runs out, I will no longer be able to use it." Sure, if this was an actual battle, she could use it as a melee weapon. However, it wasn't as if she had any use for such an item in a tickle competition. Unless, of course, she used it to bop the guys on the head if they started bickering again. That would probably be the only reasonable use for it.

Meanwhile, Palutena had momentarily put down the Super Leaf, taking a few of Link's arrows out of the quiver that had been left nearby. She inspected the fletching on his arrows, confirming that the quality was rather good and would also be useful with the tickling.

"PLEASE NO!" Pit exclaimed as the stars were continually blasted all over his most sensitive spots, each strike leaving a lingering tingly sensation.

Link's eyes were tightly squeezed shut, and he wondered how the heck something like could be so ticklish. He'd been hit with an attack from a Star Rod before and didn't recall it ever tickling so much. "TH-THAT'S ENOUGH!"

"Nope, there's still some power in this thing, and I intend to use it as much as possible. Don't worry, though, these really don't last for very long, so you should be able to handle that much, at least," Zelda told them.

Palutena continued to take a look through Link's arrows, noticing that some were different than others. While the fletching on some of the arrows was stiffer and borderline sharp, others had a softer edge that reminded the goddess of a stiff feather.

Finally, the Star Rod had used up all of the magic that had been stored up inside, and Zelda set it aside. It had worked immensely well on targeting the boys' entire upper bodies and feet, leaving them both a blushing, giggling mess.

"Are you two okay?" she asked with amusement.

Link and Pit nodded in response as they tried to calm down and catch their breath. Although the tickling had left them rather windswept, they were ready to continue the competition.

"Both of you are holding out longer than we'd expected," Palutena smiled, having just finished putting Link's arrows back into the quiver. "We'd assumed by now at least one of you, if not both, would've given up by now."

"No chance of that happening, since I know that I'm gonna win," Pit boasted with confidence.

Link gave a snort. "Just keep telling yourself that."

"Zelda, why don't you take the Super Leaf for now and I'll use these," Palutena said, holding up the single arrow that she had not put back.

The blond boy looked at her with alarm. "Wait, what do you mean by that? You're gonna use my arrow? It's way too sharp!"

"Silly, I'm only going to use the fletching part of it," she replied, lightly tapping it with her finger. "This one is soft, almost like a feather. So why not try it out?"

Link relaxed with a sigh of relief. "Okay, good." He could handle the fletching part, as long as the pointed tip of the actual arrow wasn't going to be utilized.

"You looked like you were about to have a heart attack," Pit chuckled.

"Shut up," Link replied with an eyeroll. "You should worry less about me and more about yourself."

"Okay," Zelda spoke up before things had a chance to escalate. "Let's continue, shall we?"

If it wasn't the fact that the pollen spores had made their feet even more sensitive than before, the guys probably would've been able to tolerate the tickling a little better. However, as Palutena dragged the fletching of the arrow along Link's left sole, while Zelda ran the tip of the Super Leaf along Pit's right, it was rather overwhelming.

"Aahahahahahahahaha! Mmmphehehehehehe!" Link struggled to endure the sensations of the goddess leisurely trailing up and down the length of his trapped sole, from his heel, all the way up to his toes.

"It's great that there are so many different kinds of items that we can use on you and Pit, and all of them have been working splendidly," Palutena said in a cheerful tone.

Pit laughed alongside Link as Zelda used the Super Leaf, the tip of it running along the bottom of his foot. "Ahahahahahahahahahaha! N-not that!"

"Aww, is this too hard for you to handle?" Zelda asked teasingly. "If it makes you feel any better, we'll be switching up the items later on so you'll each get to experience both."

"Please stop!" the brunet begged as the Super Leaf teased all over his taut soles without respite. It was as if Zelda was trailing over each and every contour of his foot, drawing out his torture in a slow, meticulous way. "No, not that!" he exclaimed as the undersides of his toes were once again targeted. His laughter spiked as a result, his entire body jolting.

"M-MAKE IT STOP!" Link shouted, his soles left at Palutena's mercy as she enthusiastically tormented him with his own arrow.

Of course, Palutena and Zelda kept this up, wreaking havoc on every last spot that the beautiful soles had to offer. While the guys' upper bodies were pretty ticklish as well, the princess and goddess had become rather fond of their feet. They tickled all over the heels, arches, insteps, the plushy balls of their feet, and the immobilized toes. Not a single spot was spared from their wrath, the two of them doing everything they could to get Pit or Link, if not both, to break down and reach their limit.

As much as it was driving them mad, Link and Pit persisted, enduring tickle after tickle as the seconds ticked by. They laughed and squirmed around, pushing themselves to keep going. Even after the girls had swapped items, they refused to give up. They still found the tickling oddly enjoyable, though their rivalry was the biggest factor as to why neither would throw in the towel. Each of them had stated that they would be the winner and they intended to prove it.

Finally, Zelda and Palutena stopped tickling them, noticing that it was starting to get late. They were both surprised that both Link and Pit had managed not to break down and give up. It was clear that neither boy would be satisfied until he was declared the winner.

"What should we do?" Palutena whispered to Zelda as they gave the guys a moment to recover. "Neither of them have given up yet, but I don't know how much longer you think we should keep going."

Zelda thought for a moment, quickly coming up with an idea. She leaned close and whispered her plan to her friend, which Palutena eagerly agreed to upon hearing the details.

"What are you two scheming?" Link asked them.

"Nothing at all," Palutena replied with an innocent smile.

Pit sighed. "They're definitely scheming something," he murmured.

"We'll be right back, so don't go anywhere," Zelda said as she and Palutena left the room for a moment.

As soon as they were gone, Pit looked over at Link with a bit of a smirk. "Maybe they're deciding on who's the winner. Neither of us has given up, so I'm guessing they're trying to figure out which of us has handled the tickling better."

Link gave him an odd look. "If that was the case, they wouldn't have needed to leave the room. It's obvious that I've endured it better than you have."

"Huh!? How do you figure!?" Pit demanded.

"You're always so loud and annoying," Link muttered in response.

"I'm doing just as well as you are, if not more so!" Pit countered. "It's clear who the real winner is!"

The blond smirked. "Yes, me."

"No, me!"

They bickered back and forth for another minute or so, arguing over who would be deemed the victor of the competition that they'd been forced to partake in.

"But, you know..." Pit said, trailing off for a second before breaking into a grin. "It has been pretty fun and I've been enjoying myself quite a bit."

"Yeah, same here," Link admitted. "Kind of weird how that happened, huh?"

It was then that Zelda and Palutena returned to the room, each of them carrying a small bucket of warm water and a scrubbing brush. They noticed the boys' eyes widen in surprise and couldn't help but giggle.

"Don't mind us, we're just going to clean that pollen off of your feet before we go for the final tie-breaker round," Zelda explained. "Unless, of course, one of you breaks down before that during the cleaning process."

"No way," Pit replied. "Bring it on!"

"Do your worst," Link added, not to be outdone by his rival.

Palutena beamed. "Well, don't mind if we do."

The scrubbing of the brushes proved to be one of the most intensely ticklish methods that Link and Pit had been put through. Palutena and Zelda ran the brushes up and down their taut soles, washing away any and all traces of the pollen.

"AHHH! WAIT! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Link laughed hysterically as the goddess scrubbed away at his feet, his arches suffering the most.

Pit fared no better in comparison, squirming around with helpless laughter as Zelda cleaned the bottoms of his feet. "P-PLEASEHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Up and down, side to side, and in circular motions, the girls dragged the brushes every which way. They made sure to get their heels, arches, insteps, the balls of their feet, and their toes. It was amusing to watch the guys flail around in their seats as the bristles scrubbed away at the pollen and their sanity.

"AAHHHH! NO, NOT THERE!" Pit couldn't think straight as Zelda focused on his toes, particularly the pinky toes. "WAIT! NOT THAHAHAAHAHHAHAHAT!"

"Mm, and here I thought you were enjoying yourselves," the princess teased.

"By the way, the effects of the pollen won't actually wear off for at least another hour or so, even though we're cleaning it off. So your feet will still be incredibly sensitive," Palutena informed them. "Isn't that wonderful?"

Link tried to curl his toes as they were scrubbed clean, but to no avail. This was utter torture for him, but he wouldn't let Pit pull ahead of him. He was determined to win it no matter what.

After a good ten minutes or so, Link and Pit had been completely scrubbed clean, all traces of the pollen gone. However, just as Palutena had told them, their soles remained just as soft and sensitive, possibly even more so after the scrubbing treatment.

"Okay, are you two ready for the final round to decide which of you is the winner?" Zelda asked once they had recovered.

"Yes!" Pit answered enthusiastically. "Ready whenever you are!"

Link simply gave a nod, wondering what they were planning.

"Lovely. Then let's begin," Palutena said.

Pit and Link watched with confusion as Zelda and Palutena got on their knees, their faces eye-level with the guys' feet. This caused the boys to exchange confused glances, unsure of where this was going. However, it didn't take them long to realize what this last round would entail.

"Oh!" Link's eyes went wide as he felt something warm and wet glide up his right sole. "AAHHH! W-WHAT IS THAHAHAHAT!?"

"H-HEY! WAHAHAHAHAIT!" Pit exclaimed as he felt the same on the bottom of his left foot.

Zelda and Palutena had decided to implement a tie-breaker by worshipping the gorgeous feet before them, running their tongues up and down the silky soles.

The tickling from the brushes paled in comparison to the girls' tongues as they sensually licked the bottoms of Pit and Link's feet. On top of that, the guys soon realized that this would be their favorite method of all.

Zelda and Palutena were enjoying themselves even more than Pit and Link were, lapping away at their soles without respite. Their tongues dragged over every which way, targeting each and every spot that the trapped feet had to offer. The incessant laughter only encouraged them to keep it up, licking every last area.

Link bit his lip, blushing madly as Palutena switched back and forth between both of his feet. He couldn't handle it, yet couldn't get enough at the same time. "AHHH! MMMM!" He could feel her tongue trailing along his arch, slowly making its way up to his immobilized toes. "AAHAHAHAHAAHAHAH!"

Pit could feel Zelda lapping at his soles, his face beet-red as he was forced to laugh. "OH! MMMMPHEHEHAHAHAAH!"

It didn't take long for the girls to reach their toes, the two of them licking along the undersides of the digits. In addition to that, they had started to use their fingers to scribble all over the guys' soles, further amplifying the tickling. By doing so, it left both Link and Pit in a complete state of hysteria. While the licking along the digits was worse for Pit, particularly the pinky toes, Link suffered more from the tickling to his arches. With their worst spots exploited to the extreme, it was pandemonium for the two heroes.

"NOT THAT!" Link could feel Palutena licking and sucking on his toes, her tongue dipping under and in between the digits, even as her fingers danced all over the bottoms of his feet. He bucked around in his seat, laughing his hardest yet. He tried to scrunch up his soles as his arches were targeted, but his feet remained stretched taut.

"NO, PLEASE!" Pit was suffering just as much, his laughter equal to Link's as Zelda skillfully exploited his worst spots. He could feel her sucking on one of his pinky toes while she playfully wiggled the other one. Her free hand continued to skitter all over his sole, targeting the ball of his foot.

The seconds ticked by, minutes passing as Zelda and Palutena kept up with their assault. They themselves were starting to become worn out, but they pushed through, able to tell that the boys were about to hit their limits. Even if Link and Pit were enjoying themselves, there was only so much a person could handle, and they had just about reached that point.

Finally, when they could no longer stand it, both Pit and Link yielded at the exact same moment. "I GIVE UP!"

Zelda and Palutena ceased their assault, ending the torture once and for all. They were a little surprised that the boys had broken down at the same time, yet found it all that much more amusing.

NO CONTEST!

"Looks like it's a draw," Zelda remarked as she began to free Pit from his restraints.

"It appears so. Since they quit at the same time," Palutena agreed, releasing Link from his bonds. "It looks like we'll have to hold a re-match at some point."

Both Link and Pit were too out of breath to speak, the two of them panting heavily as they struggled to recover from that onslaught. They'd barely even registered when their toes had been freed from the ties, and their ankles released from the stocks. The cuffs were removed from around their wrists, their arms falling at their sides as they sat listlessly in their chairs.

"Although there was no actual winner, I hope you two learned something from this,"
Palutena said to them. "You should really try to get along better so that you're not always at each other's throats."

"Exactly. There's no reason why you guys can't get along better," Zelda agreed.
"Have you finally realized that your constant fighting is problematic?" Palutena asked them, though her eyes lingered on Pit.

It took several seconds, but both heroes soon calmed down and nodded in response, the two of them looking slightly embarrassed and apologetic.

"Yes, we have, Lady Palutena," Pit admitted as he got up from his seat. "We were kind of getting a little carried away..."

"From this point on, we'll try to tone it down a bit. And maybe cooperate a little better, too," Link added, rising to a stand as well.

Zelda smiled at them. "We understand that sometimes things happen in the heat of the moment. But the important thing is to not get carried away with it. I'm glad that you've started to come around, and the two of us are willing to help you both improve yourselves for the better."

"Yes, I'm sure that once you put aside your differences, you'll realize just how much you have in common and become friends," Palutena said cheerfully.

Link and Pit exchanged looks of utter shock and confusion. Then, to the girls' surprise, they both broke into a fit of chuckles, and then simultaneously collapsed into laughter almost as hysterical as when they were getting the daylights tickled out of them.

Zelda's eyes narrowed a bit. "What's so funny?"

"I'm sorry, BECOME friends?!" Link gasped, wiping fresh tears from his cheeks.

The two females exchanged confused looks. "We missed something, didn't we?" Palutena asked to nobody in particular.

"Well, it's funny you should say that, Lady Palutena," Pit chuckled, clutching his ribs again. "Link and I actually ARE friends. Some of the tightest pairs among the roster, in fact! Did you honestly think we hated each other or something?"

"Really? But you're always fighting and bickering," Palutena pointed out, perplexed by this revelation.

"It's because we like to disagree and bicker with each other that we're such good friends," Link replied. "He's an annoying idiot, but he'd be even more annoying if he always agreed with me on everything."

Pit gave a snort. "As if I'm the only annoying one."

Zelda and Palutena were rather stunned to hear this, as they'd had no idea that Link and Pit actually considered each other a good friend. The more they thought about it, the more it made sense. After all, things had never escalated into anything violently dangerous, and their arguing had never exceeded petty insults.

"We're glad that you two are on better terms than we'd thought," Zelda finally said, unable to conceal her smile. "I was honestly under the impression that you just didn't like each other."

"With that being said," Palutena spoke up. "Your constant squabbling has been causing problems for us, as well as the rest of the competitors that are participating in the Super Brash Sisters Tournament."

"It's Super Smash Brothers..." Pit said under his breath.

The goddess continued as if she hadn't heard him. "If nothing else, please try to act a little more accordingly as to not disrespect the others and causing distractions during the matches."

Link and Pit both smiled sheepishly. "R-right...sorry..." they mumbled unanimously.

"As long as you understand," Zelda remarked. "It's late, so let's call it a night. If you wish for a re-match in the future, just let us know," she added with a giggle.

The two of them smirked. "We will."

"This calls for a group hug!" Pit exclaimed cheerfully.

"Do we really have t-" Link was cut off as he was pulled into the group hug, though he made no effort to resist, instead letting out a sigh as he smiled and shook his head. "Okay, fine..."

The four of them embraced each other tightly, glad that things had gone the way that they had. Thanks to the tickling match, the four of them were now closer th
an ever before.

~The following morning~

"I don't know what went on with Link and Pit, but those two seem to be getting along much better all of a sudden," Samus remarked as she walked through the Smash Mansion with Palutena and Zelda. "They were still bickering a little, but you could tell that it was more playful than anything else."

"Well, we did have a serious talk with them," Zelda informed her. "They got a stern talking to about their behavior."

"Huh, what changed? You've talked to them many times in the past, from what you've told me," the blond bounty hunter said. "What made this time different?"

Palutena smiled. "Well, I think they were a little embarrassed by how the other competitors viewed them, so they decided to work on their behavior a bit. But they're also growing as people and understanding one another better than before."

"Though they still squabble about their video games," Zelda mumbled with a sigh.

Meanwhile, Link and Pit were having a conversation of their own, albeit with less bantering than many of their previous encounters.

"I can't wait for the match between Sheik and Ike!" Pit gushed excitedly. "Sheik seems so mysterious and I can't wait to see him in action more!"

"Er, right..." Link trailed off, a hint of a smirk on his lips. "You might know Sheik better than you think..."

"Huh? What do you mean?" the angel inquired.

Link let out a sigh. "Just never mind. Anyway, I'm looking forward to that match between Cloud and Sephiroth. It's going to be insane, I'll bet. I'm rooting for Cloud, obviously."

"Samus is up against Chrom later, and I think that will be a good match, too."

"Yeah, I've fought Samus before and she's really tough to beat," Link told him. "But Chrom seems strong as well, so either of them could win."

"There's also supposed to be a team battle later one with Peach and Daisy against Mario and Luigi. Between you and me," Pit said, lowering his voice. "My money is on the princesses."

"I'm inclined to agree with you," the blond boy replied. "What about the match between Ryu and Ken? I'm leaning more towards Ryu on winning."

"Ken did lose against him last time, but I think that he has a chance of beating Ryu if he plays his cards right," Pit remarked. "And then there's the fight between Snake and Joker? Both have some awesome moves!"

At that point, Link couldn't help but smirk a bit. "Speaking of Joker, I fought him the other day and noticed something. I went to go grab him so that he I could throw him to the ground, but he jerked away before I got a good grip on him. With that being said, he jolted as if I electrocuted him or something."

"Oh, was Pikachu nearby?" the brunet inquired with a clueless expression.

"...No..." Link deadpanned. "Anyway, with the way he reacted, it made me realize that he's probably pretty sensitive."

Pit grinned. "Ah, so I guess he's ticklish, too, huh? Maybe we should try to convince him to take part in that endurance competition like we did. He'll NEVER see it coming!"

Of course, they would have their own team battle later on, with the same line-up as before. Pit would be paired with Zelda while Link would be with Palutena. However, this time, they would cooperate and assist their partners rather than ignore them like last time.

It was then that they noticed Zelda, Palutena, and Samus heading in their direction, and they walked over to meet them.

"Hey!" Pit greeted them enthusiastically with a wave.

"Hi, you two. You both seem to be in a pretty good mood," Zelda said with a smile.

"Apparently that talk you gave them whipped them into shape," Samus mused.

Palutena could see the way Pit and Link blushed slightly, and she let out a giggle. "Yes, it certainly did."

"Lady Palutena, Princess Zelda, would you two mind coming with us?" Pit asked them. "Link and I found something and wanted you to come check it out with us."

"Oh, sure," the princess replied. "What is it?"

"Just follow us," Link responded, already walking away.

"See you guys later," Samus said with a wave as she headed towards a different direction. "I look forward to watching your team battle later this evening."

Palutena and Zelda bid farewell to Samus as they followed Link and Pit, exchanging confused glances. They felt a bit apprehensive, unsure of what to expect as they were led down the hallway. Link opened a door near the end of the corridor, entering the room with Pit right behind him. After a brief moment of hesitation, Zelda and Palutena joined them.

To their surprise, there were two plushy chairs and a double set of stocks right in the center of the room. There was a large wooden crate wedged up against the wall, the contents inside a mystery.

"These were built especially for you two," Pit grinned. "I'm sure you know what that means."

Stunned, Palutena and Zelda looked at each other, the two of them seeing where this was going. They couldn't help but smile, shrugging briefly and accepting what was to come.

A little while later, the girls had been tied up and secured in the stocks, their gorgeous bare feet about to be subjected to a thoroughly tickling of their own. Their toes had been individually tied back, leaving their soles taut and even more vulnerable.

THREE! TWO! ONE! GO!

"Oh!" Zelda had been caught off guard when Pit suddenly began to stroke two of his own feathers all over her trapped soles, the tips of the trailing along the bottoms of her feet. Her eyes had gone wide with surprise, a smile soon appearing on her lips as the ticklish sensations became apparent. "Aahahahahahaha! P-please wait!" She squirmed around with laughter, trying to scrunch up her soles as the feathers were dragged all over. Thanks to the toe restraints, her feet remained stretched out.

Palutena, in turn, felt Link lightly scribbling his fingers all over her soles, causing her to gasp before bursting into a fit of laughter of her own. "Aahh! Oh my! Hahahahahahahahaha! L-Link! That tickles!" She attempted to curl her toes in defense, hoping that it would lessen the sensations, but to no avail.

It appeared that the girls were just as ticklish as they were, the two of them squirming around with helpless laughter. Unlike the guys, their arms had been left free, though there was no escaping from the stocks until either Pit or Link let them out. On top of that, they became even more frantic as the seconds ticked by, realizing the hard way just how intense the tickling could be.

"AAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! LINK PLEASE!" Palutena's eyes were tightly squeezed shut as tears streamed down her flushed face, feeling his fingers dancing all over her taut soles without respite.

"NAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PIT! PLEASE STOP!" Zelda could feel the feathers dragging all over her feet, the tips of them hitting each and every spot.

"I think it's obvious who the better tickler is," Pit proclaimed loudly as he gleefully continued to tickle the princess.

"Yeah, me," Link replied, tormenting the goddess even as she begged for mercy.

Pit, due to his hyperactive personality, seemed to prefer more rapid movements, swiping his feathers all over the pampered soles of the trapped princess. He focused on the upper areas, since it yielded a more frantic reaction from Zelda. "What's wrong, Princess Zelda? Are my feathers too ticklish for you to handle?" he teased playfully.

Zelda let out a squeal, trying to move her feet away from the feather. A few tears trickled down her reddened cheeks, laughing and pleading for the angel to stop. "PLEASE NO! AAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! PIT! I'M BEGGING YOU!"

"Huh, last time I checked, begging isn't enough to make the tickling stop," Link replied sardonically as he focused on Palutena's feet. He chose not to dig down too harshly on her lovely soles, using his fingertips to wreak havoc on the silky skin. "If you two can dish it out, then you can definitely take it, too."

"LINK! HAAHAHAHAHAAHHAHAAHHAAHAH! NO MORE!" Palutena exclaimed, feeling him tickling all over her arches and the balls of her feet.

Pit couldn't help but chuckle as both girls were reduced to hysterics. "It's good to know that both of you are really ticklish on your feet, just like us."

"You're probably still worse, though," Link responded nonchalantly.

"Huh!? No, I'm not!"

Zelda and Palutena could only sit there and take it, laughing and hugging each other as they tried to endure the maddening sensations. There were still quite a few hours before their match would begin, so they could only hope that they would last until then.

And so Pit and Link continued their back-and-forth banter, playfully insulting each other's techniques as the girls were forced to laugh. They couldn't decide whether they enjoyed being on the receiving end or dishing it out more, finding them both to be rather exciting. It seemed the four of them were going to be sharing a lot of laughter together from now on, though.

Of course, the tickle competition between the Champion of Hyrule and the Captain of Lady Palutena's Guard had ended in a draw, so yet another re-match between the two of them would have to settle things between them once and for all. But one thing was for certain: No force on heaven or earth could ever put a stop to the rivalry between these two best friends.
